Sometimes I have found myself in the dark wondering, “What the heck…?” It seems to continue on and on with no change; it is hard to go on with your life in any kind of effective way; it seems as if it will never end.
You ask, “Why?” but no answer comes. After a while you have a hard time remembering that God has a plan and that He has not abandoned you. There is a song sung by Josh Wilson out now that sheds some light on this kind of experience. The lyrics say it all in a perfect way and end on a note of hope…
Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you?
If there's a God who loves you,
Where is He now?
Maybe, there are things you cant see,
And all those things are happening
To bring a better ending.
Some day, some how, you'll see, you'll see.
Would you dare, would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing?
Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It cant compare to the joy that's coming.
So hold on, you gotta wait for the light.
Press on, and just fight the good fight.
Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It's just the dark before the morning.
My friend, you know how this all ends.
You know where you're going.
You just don't know how you'll get there.
So say a prayer and hold on.
Cause there's good for those who love God.
But life is not a snapshot.
It might take a little time,
but you'll see the bigger picture.
Sung by Josh Wilson
If you do hold on eventually you will see the light at the end of the tunnel. You will also see the purpose for what you have gone through. AND you will realize that you have learned and grown. So hold on and wait for the light…press on and just fight the good fight. Your dawn will come and that day will bring the blessings.
